USD 399 Receives Grants for New Dust Collector in Wood Shop
USD 399 will be adding a new dust collector to the wood shop thanks to generous grant funding. The wood shop received a $7,500 check from the Osborne County Community Foundation, as well as $2,500 from the Russell Area County Community Foundation. The new dust collection system will be located outside to reduce noise and is planned to be installed this summer. This will be a huge improvement to the shop as it will help with better air quality and create a cleaner environment for students. Mr. Broeckelman says, "This new dust collector will allow us to use more machines and do a better job of collecting dust and shavings." Mr. Broeckelman has been the woods teacher for USD 399 for 19 years and has received several grants over the years to help improve the woods shop.
USD 399 greatly appreciates all the support from local community foundations!
