Lund and Chrisler Compete at State Track and Field
After a three hour weather delay, Ashton Lund ran in the 3200 meter race at Wichita. She recorded a personal best of 13:08.95 and earned the 8th place medal. Due to more rain and severe weather, Carley did not compete on the first day and was pushed to Saturday. Because of this, all remaining preliminary events were re-heated and became finals. She was 12th in the 100 meter at 13.24 seconds. Next was the 200, where she ended in 13th place at 27.45 seconds. Thirty minutes after her race, the event was again postponed until Sunday. This was a good ending to the season for these young ladies. They both hope to compete at this level again next year.
