Peterson Farm Brothers to be in Natoma March 6

The Natoma FFA is bringing the Peterson Farm Bros to Natoma for National FFA Week! The public is invited to attend a live performance on February 20th (THIS HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL MARCH 6) from Kansas's very own YouTube celebrities and Ag Advocates! Doors to the Natoma Gymnasium will be open to begin seating at 2:15 p.m. The FFA will also be conducting a canned food drive for the event to benefit the Natoma Food Bank. We ask that those willing bring at least one non-perishable food item to the event. For more information please contact Jeremy Long @ 785-885-4849.

The brothers will come to our school and provide educational workshops as well as performance that will be open to the public at the gym. I have listed the tentative schedule below. Please take a look and feel free to provide insight (especially elementary teachers as I wanted to make sure we could fit them into your day). This event was made possible through a $2500 Monsanto America's Farmers Grow Communities Grant that Sheri Beisner designated to the Natoma FFA.

9 to 10 am — Elementary school workshop: Peterson Bros farming experience, Where does food come from, Importance of farmers, Q & A.

12:30 to 1:30 — JH/High School workshop: Importance of farmers, our story, lessons we’ve learned, leadership, Q&A.

3 to 4 pm — Full Performance (open to the public)
