CC Runners Improving with each Meet

The four Freshmen cross country runners from Natoma continue to run well and improve as the year progresses.  At Hill City, they all competed in the varsity division and finished in very respective places.  On the boys side, Jayce Dickerson was 22nd out of 69 runners.  Jayson Engling finished 35th and Clay Pelton was 40th.  Carley Chrisler competed against 46 runners and finished 19th.   For their first varsity race, each runner put in a tremendous effort.

Back in the JV division at Ness City, the boys finished 1, 2, 3 once again with Clay Pelton coming across first.  Jayson Engling and Jayce Dickerson followed him for 2nd and 3rd, respectively.  Clay and Jayson both finished with personal best times.  Carley Chrisler took 2nd with her best time of the year.

At Ellsworth, Jayce was 2nd among 63 runners in the JV division.  Clay finished 5th and Jayson, 9th.  Carley completed the course in 2nd out of 19 runners.  This is a very challenging course and each runner ran a personal best or near personal best.  Almost all of the runners in this race were from 3A and 4A schools.

The athletes will finish the season at Lincoln and Lakeside.  On the 21st of October, the team will travel to Tribune for the Regional meet.
