Tiger Runners Begin Season at Smith Center
Launch the media gallery 1 playerOn Thursday, September 15, the Natoma Cross Country athletes were finally able to put their practice time to use as they traveled to Smith Center. Kayley Chrisler, the lone girl runner, ran to a 9th place finish against 21 competitors. She is back this year after a one year layoff. This is a tough course and Kayley (25:23) did well for her first meet. Leading the boys for the Tigers was Taitem Zeigler. He finished 4th (19:04) against some tough competition. There were 34 varsity runners. Dylan Pruter (22:20) was a very respectable 19th place finisher. James Maupin is the other team member but did not run at this meet.
It was good to finally compete in a meet after having our first meet postponed. We will be competing at several meets in the next two weeks and should show improvement at each one. Our next competition is at Hill City on Thursday, September 22.
