3 GIRLS, 5 BOYS HEADED TO STATE TRACK
The Tigers competed at the Class 1A Regional at FHSU on Friday, May 23. All of the athletes competed very well and some had personal bests for the season. The top four qualified for State Track at Wichita on May 30-31. Kourtney Grafel and Jackson Stull Meiers will be returning for the third year in the high jump and long jump respectively. Regan Casey returns for year two in the shot put and 100 meter hurdles and also adds the 300 hurdles. The boys 4 x 800 relay team returns as well with Jackson Stull Meiers, Jacob Chambray, Joey Raat, and newcomer Dean Masters. Jacob Chambray and Kayley Chrisler will compete in the 3200 meter run. The boys 4 x 400 relay team (Jackson, Joey, Dean, and Cale Hooper) closed out the night with a dramatic five team race and finished in 4th place.
