Two Girls Qualify for State Track at Wichita -- May 24 & 25
On Thursday, May 16, four athletes competed at Hill City in the Regional Meet for the right to compete at the State Meet in Wichita. Jayce Dickerson was entered in the triple jumpand received a mark of 36' 6 1/2". Derek George threw the javelin a personal best of 120' 2". On the girls side, Carley Chrisler took 2nd in the 100 at 13.21 in the preliminaries and 13.13 in the finals as well as 3rd in the 200 with times of 27.50 and 27.69 respectively. Ashton Lund ran the two distance races where she finished with at time of 6:29.64 in the 1600 and took 2nd in the 3200 at 13:56.60. Because both girls finished in the top four, they earned the right to compete in Wichita at the State Meet to be held on May 24 and 25. For the State Schedule with our events in red, CLICK HERE.
