News from the Music Department
KSHSAA Regional and State Piano festivals occurred in February. Our own Alyvia Zeigler performed the Turkish March by Mozart, and received a I at Regionals. Because of her rating, she qualified for the State Festival in Wichita, and she came away with a II rating! We are so proud of the work she put in, and she played so well! She did Natoma proud!
On Friday, March 1, 2019, LaCrosse High School hosted their annual Middle School Music Festival. Natoma brought 16 students between 5th and 8th grade. The students played and sang well, and they all got great feedback from the judges. We took 14 performances total, and received 4 II ratings and 10 I ratings! We are so proud of or students hard work, and their poise and professionalism during their performances was on a higher level. The students also supported each other and attended their peers' performances. Overall it was a wonderful experience and great day of music making!
