Athletes Headed to State Track and Golf
The Tigers will send one athlete, Joey Raat, to the State Sand Green Golf Championships. It will be held in Tipton on Monday, May 23 at 9:30 a.m. Good luck, Joey!! On Friday, May 20 the athletes on the track and field team competed at the Regional meet in Phillipsburg. Every athlete that competed did an excellent job at their event. The boys finished 3rd of 24 teams and were only one point shy of a tie for 2nd. The girls were 12th of 24 teams. Each group should be very proud of their finishes considering the number of athletes that we have. We will be taking athletes competing in eight individual events and two relays to compete at the State meet in Wichita on May 27 and 28. Previous to the Regional meet, the Tigers were participants at the Northern Plains League meet and competed very well. Joey Raat set a new meet record in the long jump.
