Journalism Trip to Topeka/Lawrence

November 18, 2009
We went to Topeka first where we visited the Jostens plant where our yearbook is made. After that we went to the WIBW news station and watched them produce the twelve o'clock news. We then got to talk to the news anchors and meteorologist and asked them questions about their jobs. Then we went to Lawrence and visited Kansas University where we toured the school of Journalism and then the broadcasting department. After that we visited the Lawrence Gazette. We saw how the paper was made as well as where the USA Today is printed for a four state-wide region. Then we toured the newsroom at the Lawrence Gazette.
