Government Field Trip
November 13, 2009
On Friday November 6th, Mr. Long’s Government class went to visit the Kansas State Capitol and the Kansas Museum of History in Topeka, Kansas. The students that went were Kyle Somers, Justin Hashenberger, Eastin Casey, Sandra Richmond, Brynae Thompson, Brian Bear, Mason Angel, Lincoln Griffin, Ivy Nguyen, and Paula Iniglo. One of the highlights of the trip included climbing up the 3rd highest state capitol in the United States. Another highlight was being able to view the Senate and House of Representatives. Mr. Long said about the experience, “The government students had the chance to analyze and discuss how a bill becomes a law. Being able see first hand how this structure works put it all into perspective.”
